Navy launches search after sailor goes missing from aircraft carrier
A search and rescue mission is underway after a sailor went missing from a U.S. Navy ship.
Navy officials are looking in the North Arabian Sea after the sailor, who has not been publicly identified, could not be found aboard the USS Nimitz, ABC News reported.
The Navy confirmed the search Sunday.
“The sailor was not located upon a search on board which resulted in a man overboard being called and the activation of the search and rescue,” Cmdr. Rebecca Rebarich told ABC.
