Navy veterans recognized for serving in Korean War

Apr. 26—LEBANON — Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz acknowledged the sacrifices that Lebanon's Korean War veterans made to this country by presenting them with certificates of recognition Monday during a ceremony at Lyman Memorial High School.

Ralph Adams, George Smith and Edward Galan were all recognized for their time in the Navy during the Korean War.

Smith's naval career even spanned the United States' next conflict, the Vietnam War, with his service time concluding in 1975.

Each of the veterans was grateful to have served his country and appreciative of being recognized.
