Nazareth Academy Students Named Illinois State Scholars
LA GRANGE PARK, IL — 45 Nazareth Academy students from the Class of 2019 have been recognized as 2019 Illinois State Scholars. The school said this award is given annually by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
“These students are a shining example of our pillar of scholarship. They are exemplary young men and women inside and outside of the classroom. We congratulate them and their parents on this fine accomplishment," Principal Therese Hawkins said in a release.
According to the school, Illinois State Scholars represent approximately the top ten percent of high school seniors from 757 high schools across the state. Illinois State Scholars are chosen based on a combination of exemplary ACT or SAT test scores and sixth semester class rank.
