ARIEL EPSTEIN: Welcome to today in Yahoo Daily Fantasy in the NBA. I'm the prep queen Ariel Epstein. I've got three plays, including some value plays for tonight's slate, and let's start with this one Utah and Houston. The Houston Rockets are bottom 10 in points allowed, bottom 10 in rebounds allowed, and bottom 10 in points allowed in the paint.
The Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is so worth $39 tonight. Up against Houston in the last 10 games, there's been a few big men that have dominated. Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Nikola Jokic all had over 20 points, all had a double double, double digit rebounds. This is what Gobert does best. He eats in the paint also, and the Houston Rockets being bottom 10 in that category.
Well, that's not good when you're up against Gobert who's averaging just under 18 points per game and just under 17 rebounds per game up against the defense bottom 10 in points allowed in the paint. I'm putting Rudy Gobert in my lineup tonight. For my second play $28 I'm playing the shooting guard Terry Rozier of the Charlotte Hornets. It's a great match-up because I've tracked this all year.
The Boston Celtics have been bottom 10 against guards, especially against shooting guards. Rozier is exactly that position, and he's had over 20 points in five of its last seven games. Also, Rozier is averaging just over 18 points per game on the road. So I'm not afraid of facing the Celtics in Boston with Terry Rozier. So he's worth it for $28 tonight.
For my value play, I'm playing Detroit small forward Hamidou Diallo for $21. Since Jerami Grant's been out for the Pistons, Diallo has been doing great. He's averaging 15 points per game and just over his six rebounds. It gets even better because there's been four games where Diallo has played for over 20 minutes against a bottom 10 defense. He's averaging 24 points and just over seven rebounds. It's the perfect match-up because Diallo is up against the Sacramento Kings who are bottom 10 in points and rebounds allowed. I'm putting Diallo in my lineup tonight.
