Fox Sports: Bucks receive an A- for MarJon Beauchamp pick

It writes: "Beauchamp’s story is one everybody can get behind. Falling out of love for basketball during the pandemic, he went back home to Washington and played at the community college in his hometown, Yakima Valley. His love was restored, the NBA G League noticed, and he took advantage of his one year with Ignite to grow into a first-round prospect. Beauchamp is a bull, possessing a strong frame and a 7-foot wingspan. He embraces contact and proved he can finish at the basket on the pro level. With a solid work ethic and his length, Beauchamp is also a quality, switchable defender. The issue? His shooting mechanics need more time to come together. He does not possess a reliable jumper at the moment and his offensive feel for the game needs work. That’s why he isn’t higher on boards. Getting Beauchamp at No. 24 makes a lot of sense for the Bucks. He adds wing depth to a Milwaukee team that can use it and will fit right Into the organization’s defensive identity. His lack of skills offensively is a concern, but as a defensive specialist, this fits."

Yahoo Sports: Bucks earn a B+ for selection of MarJon Beauchamp

Krysten Peek writes: "A great 3-and-D guard with good size at 6-foot-7. Beauchamp continues to develop his 3-point jump shot and has a significant advantage entering the league, after playing a season with the G League Ignite team."

CBS Sports: MarJon Beauchamp pick lands Bucks a B

Gary Parrish writes: "There are quite a few guys on my board who are above him, but that doesn't mean this is a bad pick. He plays extremely hard, and with his athleticism and size, that could make him a real positive factor. He's going to need to figure out his jumper, but his ceiling is there."

The Ringer: Bucks get a B for picking MarJon Beauchamp

Kevin O'Connor writes: "The Bucks lacked wings with size and strength during their most recent postseason run. PJ Tucker was obviously missed. Beauchamp can help fill that void as a strong, long defender who sets a tone with his effort. On offense, he needs to improve as a shooter, but if he does he already has the guard skills and intelligence to make the right play within their offense, which is usually: get Giannis Antetokounmpo the ball."

Bleacher Report: MarJon Beauchamp selection receives an A- for Bucks

Zach Buckley writes: "The Bucks needed more zip on the wing, and Beauchamp adds plenty of it. He checks virtually every box but outside shooting. Given the three-ball’s importance in the modern NBA, that’s kind of a big one to be unchecked. However, he has touch from mid-range, so there is reasonable hope for expansion. If he adds that to an arsenal already featuring swarming defense, explosive slashing and tight handles, he could be a jack-of-all-trades and master of several. At this point of the draft, this is a great dice roll."

SB Nation: Bucks earn A- grade for MarJon Beauchamp choice

Ricky O'Donnell writes: "Beauchamp is a monster defender who plays with a non-stop motor. He’s a long and strong wing at 6’6 with a 7-foot wingspan and often wins with his athleticism. Beauchamp can make plays in transition and showed tremendous shooting touch inside the arc, hitting 57 percent of his two-pointers. His three-point shot is a question mark, but the Bucks will love his intensity and defensive versatility. This is an inspired pick for Milwaukee."
