CBS Sports: Christian Koloko pick lands Raptors a C+

Kyle Boone writes: "This is a draft short on true center prospects and Koloko's a very talented rim-protector who earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honors last season, so I understand the appeal. But this feels like a slight reach here for the Raptors on someone I had ranked in the late 40s."

Bleacher Report: Christian Koloko selection receives an A for Raptors

Zach Buckley writes: "The Raptors president of basketball operations had armed his roster with length all over, but they needed more size and activity from the center spot. Enter Koloko. The bouncy big checks every box for a rim-runner, and he could cause all kinds of problems for opponents around and above the basket. He needs to get stronger to control the interior, but as he’s doing that, he might add more juice to an improving jump shot and get even more interesting."

Sporting News: Christian Koloko selection a B for Raptors

Kyle Irving writes: "Koloko couldn't be more of a typical Raptors pick. The Arizona junior was the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and fills a need for Toronto at the center position. He's athletic, mobile and versatile – just like Masai Ujiri and Nick Nurse like – and he just so happens to be from the same town in Cameroon as All-Star forward Pascal Siakam. Don't be surprised if the Raptors develop Koloko into a rotation player immediately."

For the Win: Raptors receive a B+ for Christian Koloko choice

Charles Curtis writes: "They needed a shot-blocking big man. They got one with a second-round pick. VALUE!"

New York Post: Christian Koloko pick earns a B for Raptors

Ethan Sears writes: "The Raptors weren’t looking to reinvent the wheel here, and Koloko is just fine as the 33rd pick. The Arizona product projects as a rim-runner who can play in the paint on both ends and block some shots. If he turns into a rotation player, that’s a win with the 33rd pick, and he looks capable of doing so."
