March 7 (The Sports Xchange) - New York Knicks president and general manager Steve Mills met with Phil Jackson two weeks ago to discuss coaching the team next season, according to ESPN. Citing sources, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reported that the 68-year-old Jackson told the Knicks he was not interested. However, Jackson has said recently he might be open to a front-office position, so that remains a possibility. - - - The NBA suspended Milwaukee Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova one game without pay for punching Sacramento Kings forward Reggie Evans in the stomach during Wednesday's game, the league announced. Ilyasova will serve his suspension Friday when the Bucks visit the New Orleans Pelicans. - - - The Orlando Magic signed center Dewayne Dedmon and guard/forward Adonis Thomas each to a second 10-day contract Dedmon has averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 2.2 minutes over two games with the Magic.
