Some people, when they experience their first success, go on a vacation or splurge on an expensive dinner. Paul Pierce, who currently plays for the L.A. Clippers, made a large, sentimental purchase after signing his first contract extension with the Boston Celtics: a Mediterranean-style home for his mother. Now, after 16 years, Pierce's mom is moving to a new house in the same neighborhood of Cheviot Hills. Her former 5,268-square-foot residence is currently on the market for $3.4 million and boasts six bedrooms, five baths, and one half bath. Outside, there is a spacious backyard with a loggia. Pierce, who will retire at the end of this season, reportedly helped his mother pick out her new place—and judging by his taste in homes, we're sure it will be just as beautiful as this one.
