The Brooklyn Nets visited Amway Center on Sunday to face the Orlando Magic for the second of three matchups this season and lost 119-106. The regular-season series is now tied at 1-1.

For the Nets, Mikal Bridges had 44 points and six rebounds while Cam Thomas had 18 points and two assists. Cam Johnson had 10 points and Nic Claxton had nine points.

For the Magic, Cole Anthony had 21 points and six rebounds off the bench while Franz Wagner had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Wendell Carter Jr. had 18 points and Jalen Suggs had 16 points.

In the first half, Mikal Bridges scored 19 points in the first quarter for the Nets. Bridges was on fire as he couldn’t miss from any area on the court. The Magic had more of a balanced attacked as they were racking up assists within their offensive flow. Orlando broke the game open in the second quarter as they started getting out in transition by creating turnovers.

In the second half, it was more of the same. At one point in the third quarter, Brooklyn was able to get the score to within five points with 8:05 left in the period. However, after that, the Nets were able to get any closer as the Magic continued to get out in transition to score on the fastbreak. It looked like a game where Orlando was just more rested and motivated than Brooklyn.

Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to the disappointing loss to the Magic:
