NC Highway Patrol: Teen killed in Brevard Road motorcycle wreck; charges pending

ASHEVILLE - A teenager driving a motorcycle was killed when he collided with a car that failed to yield, according to a North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper report.
Bryson Parcell, 18, died after a Dec. 17 wreck in which the motorcycle he was on struck a Kia SUV in front of the Discount Shoe Outlet on N.C. 191/Brevard Road, south of Asheville in the Bent Creek area, Trooper Rohn Silvers told the Citizen Times in an email.
According to Hendersonville Times-News reporting, Parcell was a 2022 graduate of West Henderson High School and competed on the swim team.

Parcell, who lived on Haywood Road in the Mills River area, hit the Kia as it was trying to make a left turn onto Brevard Road. Silvers said the Kia “failed to yield the right of way.”
Charges related to the incident are still pending, Silvers said.
Parcell was rushed to Mission Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He died several hours later.
