NC State basketball’s game time, TV channel announced for NCAA Tournament opener

NC State basketball’s first round NCAA Tournament game against Creighton is set for an early afternoon tip on Friday in Denver.

The Wolfpack (20-13) and Bluejays (21-12) will get their March Madness journey underway at 4 p.m. on TNT, the NCAA announced Sunday evening.

NC State is the No. 11 seed in the South Region and Creighton is No. 6. The winner will face No. 3 Baylor (22-10) or No. 14 UC Santa Barbara (27-7) in Sunday's second round.

Lisa Byington, Steve Smith, Avery Johnson and Andy Katz will be on the call on Friday and Sunday in Denver.
