NC State football QB Devin Leary has successful surgery on torn pectoral muscle

NC State quarterback Devin Leary had successful surgery on his right torn pectoral muscle on Monday according to a Tweet from his mother, Lorie Leary.

"Devin has had a successful surgery and now recuperating. His doctors were thorough and amazing. Thanks Dr Andrews and all his staff," she tweeted. "Devin thanks everyone for their well wishes and prayers and especially wolfpack nation whose support has been overwhelming."

It was announced on Saturday that Leary would miss the remainder of the season after suffering an injury to his throwing arm in the third quarter against Florida State. Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

"Additional imaging caused NC State’s orthopedic team to determine that surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle was the best course of action. There is no damage to his shoulder and he is expected to make a full recovery," a school release stated.
