The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its new football scheduling model Tuesday, with each team facing three primary opponents every season starting in 2023.
Good news: NC State's rivalry game with UNC is intact.
The Wolfpack also have Clemson and Duke on their yearly schedule, giving them a powerhouse contender and another in-state rival.
The schedule operates on a four-year cycle, with the three annual games rotating home and away. Teams will face the other 10 ACC squads twice during the cycle, once at home and once on the road, so that each team will face all 13 league opponents over the course of two seasons, each with eight conference games.
The Atlantic and Coastal divisions will be eliminated and the top team teams based on conference winning percentage will play in the ACC championship game on the first Saturday in December at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

“The future ACC football scheduling model provides significant enhancements for our schools and conference, with the most important being our student-athletes having the opportunity to play every school both home and away over a four-year period,” ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips said in a news release.
