NCAA Tournament 2022: Print and fill out your bracket for March Madness

This is March, so that means madness is here. The 2022 NCAA Tournament tips off this week, so get ready to fill out your bracket.

The 2022 NCAA Tournament begins Tuesday with games featuring the “First Four” teams still trying to get into the tournament. The "First Four" games take place in Dayton at UD Arena. The first round begins on Thursday.

This year's NCAA Tournament is the 83rd edition. The finals take place on April 4 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The No. 1 seeds for this year's tournament are Gonzaga, Arizona, Baylor and Kansas. Gonzaga was chosen as the No. 1 overall seed for the tournament and will play in the West bracket.

"We have eight teams that are prohibitive favorites," analyst Jay Bilas said on ESPN before the bracket was announced. "But you don't feel comfortable saying 'it's that team.'"

Which teams from Ohio made the NCAA Tournament?

The state of Ohio has three teams in the NCAA Tournament this year.

The University of Akron made the tournament as an automatic qualifier for winning the Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Zips beat rival Kent State 75-55 on Saturday night.

Wright State rallied to beat Northern Kentucky 72-71 to win the Horizon Tournament to get an automatic berth.

Ohio State was picked as one of the 36 teams not given an automatic spot for winning their conference. The Buckeyes lost to Penn State in the conference tournament's second round.

Did Ohio State make the NCAA Tournament? Yes. The Buckeyes were given the No. 7 seed in the South region and will play Loyola Chicago in the first round.

Who won the NCAA basketball championship in 2021?

A year after the NCAA Tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Baylor won the title in 2021.

The Bears beat Gonzaga in the title game 86-70 and Bears guard Jared Butler was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

It was the first national title for Baylor, and the second year in a row team won for the first time. Virginia was a first-time winner in 2019.
