NCIS spoilers to follow.

NCIS fans may be feeling blue that the police procedural will be off air for six weeks during the holiday season, but at least now they have something to look forward to...

When the long-running show returns on Tuesday, January 19, Margo Harshman is set to reprise her role as Delilah McGee, Tim's wife, in 'Sunburn'. According to TV Line, the episode will follow the married couple as they holiday in the Bahamas.

Despite their idyllic location though, their downtime gets disrupted (this is NCIS, after all) when the team's investigation into a dead escape room manager winds up sharing a link to the island they're vacationing on.

Harshman will also appear in the second episode of the show being broadcast that night, both of which see it jump backwards in time, before McGee shot Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in the shocking, present day-set season opener.

Juliette Angelo will star as Emily Fornell in a guest role, too.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Maria Bello, who has played Jacqueline 'Jack' Sloane since 2017's fifth season, would not be appearing in the current instalment. While she'll certainly be missed by the fans, her departure doesn't come as too much of a surprise considering she joined the cast on a three-year contract.

NCIS airs on CBS in the US, and on FOX UK in the UK.
