NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah has confirmed that she will be reuniting with some of her former co-stars to complete a triathlon for charity.

The actor, best known for her role as Kensi Blye in the police drama, revealed that she had signed up to take part in the Malibu triathlon as she turns 40.

Thankfully, Ruah won’t be undertaking the challenge alone as she will be joined by her former NCIS cast members Caleb Castle, Duncan Campbell, and David Olsen.

The star-studded team’s informal reunion is all in aid of an excellent cause, raising money for the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.

Ruah took to Instagram to announce the event and encourage fans to donate to the cause if they are able to.

She began: “Alright, for the last few years I have taken part in the Malibu triathlon to raise funds for the children’s hospital in Los Angeles. But I’ve always only done the running portion of the race as part of a relay team.

“This year, however, because I turn the big 4-0 in December, I decided to gift myself an entire race so swimming, biking, and running.

“We’ve also got a little team of people together to help us raise funds and that is Caleb Castle, Agent Roundtree, Duncan Campbell, Agent Caster, and my very own hubby David Olsen who played Tom Olsen on NCIS LA.”

She also gave fans an insight into their preparations for the race, and added: "We’re training for it, we’re having so much fun and we’d love if you could help us raise $10,000."

"We would be so grateful if you could help," she added, before signing off with a kiss to the camera.

It comes after Ruah teased the possibility of an NCIS return in the other spin-off series, NCIS: Hawai’i.

Earlier this year, she told TV Line: "If I get asked, I will certainly figure it out at the time. If it makes sense, why not, right?"
