ND drama club presents "Alibis: Eight Short Comedies about Crime"

Nov. 2—ELNORA — North Daviess High School will present three performances of "The Alibis: Eight Short Comedies on Crime" beginning Saturday at 2 p.m.

"We've all worked really hard on this," said senior Adison Giesler who has assisted with set design since she was in junior high. "It's a play that I think all ages can really enjoy."

Giesler said "The Alibis" by Johnathan Dorf, Tyler Dwiggins, Kathrynm Funkhouser, Patrick Greene, Mora V. Harris, Carrie McCrossen, Ian McWethy and Jason Pizzarello will keep the audience guessing.

Kenzlye Jeffers and Austyn Miller agreed.

"It's a murder mystery and comedy with a lot of movie references," said Jeffers.

Miller, who plays a private investigator, said each scene will feature a different suspect who is interrogated to obtain his or her alibi.

"We have eight main suspects," she said, adding a death at a dinner party leads to the investigation. "We really have the plot twist of the year."

From protecting badgers to smuggling jewels in fish, the characters on stage Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2 are sure to delight.

The show is under the direction of Amy Dedina and Kristen O'Haver.

Tickets for the show are $7 and can be purchased at the door 30 minutes prior to curtain time.
