Nearly 1,500 IID customers lose power in Palm Desert, Thousand Palms Tuesday
A power outage is impacting nearly 1,500 properties in Palm Desert and Thousand Palms Tuesday.
Imperial Irrigation District announced the outage on Twitter at 12:55 p.m., saying 1,420 customers in the two cities were without power. IID did not specify which areas of those cities are impacted or what had caused the outage.
The district said a troubleshooter is en route to deal with the outage but has not provided additional information about when the outage would be fixed.
Temperatures are in the low 100s across the Coachella Valle on Tuesday afternoon.
