Update: Nearly 2,100 RPU customers see power restored

Jun. 10—Nearly 2,100 Rochester Public Utility customers in the northeast part of the city lost power and had it restored in less than an hour Wednesday.

The city-owned utility company reported the outage occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. and crews were sent to look into the problem.

Shortly after 4 p.m., the power was reportedly restored to the 2,098 customers and crews pointed to area vegetation as the likely culprit.
