Here are the top four stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. Omar White Oliver, a former Philadelphia resident, has been federally charged with stealing funds through the government’s Paycheck Protection Program. Oliver was arrested and charged by induction in a scheme that unlawfully obtained and misused loan proceedings from the PPP. He schemed to get about $186,750 in PPP loans through false representations regarding an alleged real estate business he had.(Philadelphia Patch)

  2. An investigation is underway after police found a letter threatening the lives of African American families at the Powelton Family Dollar. The contents of the letter were not made public and the return address came back to an abandoned property in Philadelphia. The Family Dollar is located on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue.   3. On Thursday evening the police investigated a shooting and crash in South Philadelphia. A man was in a vehicle when he was shot at. He then crashed his car into two parked, unoccupied cars at 4th and Jackson streets. The victim then exited the car and ran to his home for help. An investigation is ongoing. (WPVI-TV)

  4. Philadelphia affiliate station NBC 10 is now available to stream on NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock. Philadelphia is one of the first markets included in Peacock’s initial rollout of streaming local news. NBC 10 is available to stream nationwide for free on the platform, giving viewers 24/7 coverage of Philadelphia. (PhillyVoice.com)
