Depth Chart Overview

Garcia-Castaneda is coming off a solid season at New Mexico State. In 2021, he recorded a PFF receiving grade of 73.6. Samori Toure was the only wide receiver on Nebraska’s roster to post a higher PFF receiving grade last season (83.1).

The Cornhuskers have plenty of options at wide receiver including Omar Manning, Trey Palmer, Alante Brown, and Marcus Washington. Garcia-Castaneda is not projected to be the top wideout, but he is an experienced playmaker, who will be a valuable supplemental option.

If Garcia-Castaneda stands out early on, he could take on a larger role as the season progresses.
