Announced at the start of the pandemic in March 2020, the payment pause has been extended and even expanded several times, including four extensions ordered by Biden himself. Changes are coming to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program that now allows nonprofit and government employees to have their loans forgiven after 120 payments or 10 years.
