Needham To Host State Vaccination Clinic For First Responders

NEEDHAM, MA — Needham will host the Massachusetts only vaccination site open to first responders from across the state. On Tuesday, state officials unveiled 114 COVID-19 vaccination sites for Massachusetts first responders.

Needham's Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates-Atrius Health, will serve first responders from all parts of the state. The UMass Amherst Campus Center will serve all Western Massachusetts first responders, while the South Lawrence East Elementary School will administer vaccines to all Essex County first responders.

Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium are also expected to become large-scale vaccination hubs for first responders. The rest of the sites will be dedicated to local first responders in the communities they serve.

First responders can begin getting vaccinated Monday, Jan. 11. The Needham location, at 100 2nd Avenue, will be open Monday through Saturday. The clinic is located indoors and is next door to Needham Lab, so make sure you enter the clinic building.
