If Thursday’s storm was like a dream, Friday’s reality was definitely like a nightmare for people in West Covington.
Channel 2′s Audrey Washington drove around the area and found tree after tree down, along with debris, twisted metal, broken branches and much more.

“It was like a dream,” neighbor Merlin Moore said.
On Friday, Moore was seen surveying the damage to his house and backyard. He says he and his wife were inside when the winds sent a large tree crashing onto his roof.
“It sounded like a train came through. I mean strong winds, I couldn’t even see my truck with the rain and the wind,” he said.
Just down the street, we spotted crews clearing branches from this home; a large tree nearly split in half.
Still, Moore says he’s thankful both he and his neighbors survived.
“It was just unreal,” he said.

“How long have you lived here?” we asked. “25 years,” Moore responded.
“Have you ever seen anything like this?”
“No ma’am,” he said.
