Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.

Neighbours' Karl Kennedy finds himself in potentially big trouble on Australian screens next week, as Olivia Bell ends up in a coma.

10 Peach viewers have seen Karl strongly opposed to Olivia's presence in Erinsborough since her return, as she seeks to publish a more truthful version of her book on Finn Kelly. The pair clash again, leading to a shocking accident (via TV Week magazine).

In upcoming scenes, Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) – having agreed to work with Olivia to set the record straight and get her truth out – is using a visualisation technique to confront Finn (Rob Mills) again.

But this gets out of hand, when the killer begins appearing to her uninvited.

Susan tells Karl (Alan Fletcher), and together they decide it's best for her to stop her involvement in Olivia's book.

Olivia (Alyce Platt) responds badly to this decision, and tries to convince Susan to change her mind. She is under pressure to correct the inaccuracies with the first version of the book – with a court case looming. Without an amended version, she would be prevented from releasing The Devil You Know abroad.

Karl is furious by Olivia's persistence and selfishness, and wants to put an end to her harassment of Susan.

So at the school, he confronts Olivia and has a go at her. Olivia responds by backing away from him, but in doing so, accidentally falls down the staircase behind her. Karl rushes to her, but Olivia is out cold.

Susan, arriving on the scene, begins to call an ambulance as Karl insists it was an accident.

But when Levi Canning (Richie Morris) questions Karl over what happened, Hendrix Greyson (Benny Turland) only makes the police officer more suspicious of Karl when the teen's attempt to cover for him backfires.

"Hendrix is loyal to a fault," Fletcher told TV Week. "When he sees Karl faltering under Levi's questioning, he instinctively lies to Levi because he genuinely believes Karl would never deliberately harm Olivia."

Karl is left feeling guilty as Olivia is in a coma at the hospital.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
