Neighbours star Matt Wilson was inundated with comments of congratulations after he took to Instagram to celebrate a special anniversary.

Wilson plays Aaron Brennan on the Australian soap and, over the weekend, he posted an adorable photo of his family at the beach. The photo depicted him, his wife Jessica Wilson, and their child in shallow waters sharing a touching moment.

Wilson wrote in the caption: "5yrs married, forever growing @jessicaleewilson1."

The post was liked by and commented on by several of Wilson's Neighbours colleagues. Candice Leask, who plays Wendy on the soap, wrote: "Congratulations," alongside several red heart emojis.

Lucinda Cowden, who plays Melanie, also commented with several love heart emojis, while Annie Jones, who portrays Jane in the soap, responded with champagne emojis.

Wilson and his wife married in 2019 before they announced in 2022 that they were expecting their second child together in 2022. Then, last year, they announced that they had given birth to a baby boy.

Recently, Wilson spoke about David Tanaka's tragic Neighbours death after Takaya Honda left the show. Honda played Wilson's on-screen husband, but the character died after falling from a cliff alongside Eden Shaw, who had started a fight with David's twin brother Leo.

"Aaron and David have been together longer than I, Matt, have been with my wife, so that says a lot," Wilson said.

"Our characters have been through lots of ups and downs and we've always worked through it, and I think the only way for our characters to go apart is if one of us has to kick the bucket. It's incredibly dramatic.

"It's incredibly emotional, not only for the characters, but for us as the actors, because Takaya and I have had such a good mate-ship ever since we've been here. We really understand each other."

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
