Neighbours' Mackenzie Hargreaves will refuse to speak to Shane Rebecchi, after Shane makes a guilty confession.

This Friday (September 27), Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) tells Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) that he had a part in one of Mackenzie's upsetting days of her life, as he gave bad advice to Grant which led to Mackenzie's father burning all of her feminine belongings.

Next week's episodes will explore the fallout of the confession, with Mackenzie fleeing.

Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) tries to make sure Mackenzie is okay, but only makes her angrier when Yashvi makes the situation about herself.

Dipi Rebecchi (Sharon Johal) finds Mackenzie at the butterfly park, and they have a heart-to-heart conversation about Shane. Dipi says she found it difficult to process what Shane did, while Mackenzie feels betrayed by Shane and that he was helping her because of his guilt.

Dipi tells Mackenzie that she will be there for her, even if Grant rejects her again.

Meanwhile, Shane struggles to cope with his guilt and feels shame. At one point, Yashvi tells him she's ashamed of him.

Shane has to leave work early one day, but is then told by Dipi that Mackenzie doesn't want to talk to him and can't forgive him.
