Neighbours star Annie Jones has addressed the show's Jane Harris and Mike Young dilemma after their big reunion in the 2022 finale.
Last year, Hollywood star Guy Pearce was convinced to reprise his role as Mike for the soap's 'final ever' episodes, which saw his character reconcile with Jane in romantic scenes.
Annie, who plays Jane, was recently announced as a returning cast member for the revival of Neighbours. As Annie will be a show regular again, this has caused speculation and jokes among fans about how her character's reunion with Mike will now be reversed in scripts.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at a recent press junket, Annie admitted: "It's a tough one, isn't it? I was so thrilled that Guy came back and we got to do that beautiful storyline and Jane and Mike got to be reunited. Jane got to go back to feeling like a young woman again, which is just so gorgeous.
"But life goes on. Who knows what's in store for Jane next? Hopefully she's got a whole lot more new adventures coming her way."
She continued: "I was elated and super happy when I found out the show was coming back. Not only for us because we've got a job again, but also for the fans, because we know how much it's meant to people and how sad they were when the show ended.

"Now knowing how super excited they are that we're back, it's just fantastic.
"For me, it was a no-brainer to return. I just love being Jane and I love working on the show. I love having the opportunity to grow as an actor with every storyline and new episode. I'm thrilled – I couldn't be happier that we're back."
Neighbours has been revived by the free streaming service Amazon Freevee and filming on the new season will begin in April.
Neighbours returns in the second half of 2023 with new episodes streaming free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.
