When he wasn’t busy making history by being the first person to step foot on the moon, astronaut Neil Armstrong was likely relaxing in his cozy, 2,883-square-foot home in El Lago, Texas, with his family.

Now, like the former naval aviator turned lunar pioneer, you too can prop your feet up inside the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home, which is listed for $550,000.

“Mid-century home located on a lot-and-a-half shines with unique architecture including original rock fireplace, staircase railing and nostalgic pink pool decking,” the listing on Sotheby’s International Realty says. “Enter through the double doors to find the classic sunken family room, vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking the back yard pool.”

The Armstrong family lived in the home from 1964-1971 — Neil Armstrong walked on the moon along with fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin in 1969.

The fact that he lived on the property wasn’t the only interesting aspect, according to the New York Post: It was actually an astronaut hotspot since he and pilot Ed White purchased three lots and divided them up between them. White died in 1967 on Apollo 1 when a fire ripped through the cabin, killing him and fellow pilots Gus Grissom and Roger B. Chaffee during a pre-launch rehearsal at Cape Canaveral.

The house has multiple features including:

  • Updated kitchen

  • Study

  • Walk-in closets

  • Built-in secretary desk

  • Flex room

  • Attached garage

  • Detached garage

Armstrong was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He died in 2012.
