The trailer for the highly anticipated queer romantic comedy series Uncoupled is here and it starts with the unimaginable: Someone dumping Neil Patrick Harris — well, his character Michael Lawson, but still.

Created and executive-produced by Darren Star (Sex and the City, Younger) and Jeffrey Richman (Modern Family, Frasier), Uncoupled follows Michael, who previously thought he had things pretty much figured out. He had it all: a loving partner of 17 years, a great group of supportive friends, and a successful career as a New York City real estate agent. But all that comes crashing down when his partner (seemingly out of nowhere) gives him the boot, leaving Michael to evaluate his life and discover an exciting new chapter.

What does that new chapter hold? Well, dick pics for one, as we see in the trailer along with the discovery of Grindr, the promise of pity three-ways (he passes), and partying it up with friends. It’s an exploration and celebration of dating in your fifties, which, sure, may be scary and even a little (or a lot) awkward at times. But as Michael is about to discover, it’s also an exciting adventure and a new opportunity for self-discovery. Not to mention an opportunity for plenty of laughs, too.

Starring alongside Harris are Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks, and the divine Marcia Gay Harden. Guest stars include Andre de Shields, Colin Hanlon, Dan Amber, Gilles Marini, Jai Rodriguez, Nic Rouleau, and Peter Porte.

Uncoupled premieres July 29 exclusively on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
