Neosho man killed in two-vehicle crash

Jan. 12—A 63-year-old man died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash at 10:46 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 59 at Quince Road in Neosho, according to the Neosho Police Department.

Thomas R. Wood, of Neosho, was driving a westbound Ford Escape and pulled from a stop sign on Quince Road into the path of a semi-truck northbound on Highway 59, police said. He was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, where he subsequently died.

The driver of the semi-truck, Bobby Hawkins, 41, of Star City, Arkansas, escaped injury, police said.
