NEPA has 17 new COVID-19 cases; no new deaths

Jul. 10—The state Department of Health on Saturday recorded 17 additional cases of COVID-19 in a seven-county region of Northeast Pennsylvania.

Lackawanna County had six new cases, Luzerne, four, Monroe, three, Pike, two, and Susquehanna and Wyoming counties each had one new case. The number of cases in Wayne County remained unchanged.

Combined, these seven NEPA counties have had 78,487 cases and 1,887 deaths. There were no additional deaths reported Saturday in the region.

Statewide, the Health Department reported 236 new cases, bringing the total to 1,214,009. Eight additional deaths throughout the state raised the total to 27,745.
