Nestlé in Bridgewater marks milestone in advancing nutrition and sustainability

BRIDGEWATER – The Nestlé Product Technology Center (NPTC), the global company's research and development hub, is celebrating its fifth anniversary as a centerpiece of the Center of Excellence on Route 202-206.

Since its inauguration in 2018, the NPTC has been a leader in nutrition research as the leader of Nestlé Health Science's effort to use science and technology in developing new products for consumers, patients and health care professionals.

"We are thrilled to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the Nestlé Product Technology Center and the incredible achievements we have made in advancing nutrition and sustainability," said Rania Abou Samra, Global Head of Product Technology and Development at Nestlé Health Science and Head of Research and Development, U.S.

"The NPTC is a cutting-edge facility that encompasses the entire science, technology and development lifecycle, from rapid ideation and prototyping to sensory science, technology and product development, and commercialization, " Samra continued. "This state-of-the-art center has played a pivotal role in driving innovation and meeting consumer and patient needs.”

At its opening, Gov. Phil Murphy said the $70 million facility, which employs 170 people, shows the result of what happens when the state and businesses "combine forces."

Nestlé represents "an entirely new vision for the state's future," Murphy said, adding that it fits with New Jersey's new master economic plan.
