Americans still scratching their heads over the wonderful bizarreness of Eurovision will now get the chance to be won over by Netflix.

The US unfortunately weren't able to watch the show live this year – yes it's a crime they were deprived of Norway's yodelling banger and that incredible mash-up of past Eurovision hits – but worry no longer.

Netflix will be streaming the entirety of the 2019's semi-finals and grand final from July 22, and in equally as good news they'll be able to watch the entire 2020 competition after it airs.

Of course it's not as fun as watching the show live, but, hey, any Eurovision is better than no Eurovision right?

"The European Broadcasting Union is thrilled that the world's biggest entertainment show will now be available on-demand for viewers in the USA, one of the biggest TV markets," Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand said.

"US viewers will now get to enjoy all three of this year's fantastic shows for the first time as well as the entire Contest in 2020. This is perfect timing with plans to launch a US version of the Contest in 2021."
