Netflix's "Elite" Announces When Season Two Will Premiere

With a return of Guzmán and Lu.

Las Encinas will be back in session soon enough. Netflix has announced that Elite season two will premiere in September.

Netflix shared the exciting news Wednesday morning with an adorable video featuring Miguel Bernardeau and Danna Paola as their Elite characters Guzmán and Lucrecia. Lu goes, "Baby listen to me." Guzmán responds, "Shall we say it?" and they go back and forth before making the reveal.

"What? THAT?"

"Hmm, I don't know. But..."

"Well, we have to tell them when we're coming back from our vacation, right?

"No, it's better if we do it at the same time, together, OK?"

"SEPTEMBER!"

The hot couple of Las Encinas is about to announce the date, but unfortunately, it looks like someone forgot to plug their phone into the charger. They go, "Wait, but... We should also tell them which day, right? But your battery is running low..." and then the feed goes dead.

The video is in Spanish, but Elite's Instagram Story has captions in English.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Elite was one of Netflix's hottest shows last year. It was sort of a Gossip Girl meets How to Get Away With Murder set in Spain. After the murder of a student at Las Encinas, everyone was a suspect. It was finally revealed at the end of season two who committed the crime, but there were plenty of questions that still needed answering.

After the series announced it'd be returning for a second season earlier this year, it also made some casting adds: Jorge Lopez as Valerio, Georgina Amoros as Cayetana, and Claudia Salas as Rebeca. We'll have to wait and see how everything pans out for the students of Las Encinas and what these new faces might mean for all the school's mysteries and drama.
