Netflix has confirmed the future of Vikings: Valhalla.
With the second season having set sail last month on the streaming service, Netflix has now confirmed that a third season of the Vikings spin-off will be coming in 2024.
The streamer has teased that "Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), Leif Erikson (Sam Corlett) and Freydís Eiríksdóttir (Frida Gustavsson) will embark on new voyages through foreign territory in their next chapter".

The second season finale set up a lot of intrigue for what's to come when Harald reached the shores of Constantinople to find that his longtime love Eleana (Sofya Lebedeva) had married Emperor Romanos (Nikolai Kinski).
Freydís had been on her own perilous journey to give birth in the fortress of Jomsborg, but had to contend with Olaf (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson) in a brutal confrontation.
Freydís ultimately got the upper hand by cornering Olaf's crew in a fiery trap and then finishing off her nemesis with a spear. It wasn't for the faint of heart… but that's par for the course for Vikings.

The spin-off series takes place more than 100 years before the events of Vikings, as the Norse people migrate in all directions in the wake of the St. Brice's Day massacre.
Die Hard and The Fugitive writer Jeb Stuart has taken over as creative boss of the Vikings franchise for the Valhalla spin-off, though franchise boss Michael Hirst remains involved as an executive producer.
The second season of Vikings: Valhalla premiered on Netflix on January 12, 2023, with production on the third season expected to begin in the months ahead.
