Is Netflix down? Streaming service's website experienced 'technical issues' Thursday
If you were trying to watch Netflix on your computer and ran into difficulties Thursday afternoon, you weren't not alone.
Netflix's website showed the streaming platform was having "technical issues," but the company said it was working to solve the issue.
Many reported having problems, starting around 6:37 p.m. EDT, according to Downdetector.com, where the most reported problems were the website (51%) and no connection (31%).
The issue was repaired quickly, with @jimxna_aa tweeting "WOHOOO NETFLIX IS UP AGAIN!" about an hour later.
Netflix also updated its website with this message: "Netflix is up! We are not currently experiencing an interruption to our streaming service."

Netflix didn't immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment about the outage.
Earlier Thursday evening, Netflix had this message on the website: "We are currently experiencing technical issues on our website. We are working to resolve the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience."
Users took to social media Thursday to see if it was a widespread issue.
