The upcoming series is a spinoff of the Vikings series on the History Channel and follows the conquest of Leif Eriksson, possibly the most famous Viking who has ever lived. According to the show's synopsis, more than 100 years after the events of the original show, tensions rise between the Vikings and English royalty while the former is torn internally between conflicting Christian and pagan faiths.

Eriksson will be played by Sam Corlett, alongside Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, Bradley Freegard, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, David Oakes, Laura Berlin and Caroline Henderson. Jeb Stuary serves as both showrunner and executive producer with Morgan O'Sullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh and Alan Gasmer.
