Netflix’s ‘The Final Table’ Might Be Its Most Intense Cooking Competition Ever

Netflix is about to take us on an international culinary trip with their intense new competition series, The Final Table, and celebrities including Dax Shepard and Alessandra Ambrosio are coming along for the wild (and tasty) ride.

In the first trailer for The Final Table, which debuted Tuesday, October 16, we meet 12 international teams of chefs who will compete in fast-paced challenges to create dishes from various countries. The end goal? To impress celebrity ambassadors, food critics, and some of the world’s top culinary experts in order to win themselves a spot among the best of the best.

Competitors will create dishes from Mexico, Spain, England, Brazil, France, Japan, the US, India, and Italy. Those dishes will be judged by the country’s top chef and a famed food critic, plus stars such as Dax Shepard and Colin Hanks, former Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj, and Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio. They’ll decide which teams make it to the finale — and which don’t.

The 12 teams of competitors include:

Aaron Bludorn (New York, NY, USA) and Graham Campbell (Dundee, Scotland/UK)

Darren MacLean (Calgary, AB, CA) and Timothy Hollingsworth (Los Angeles, CA, USA)

Shin Takagi (Kanazawa) and Ronald Hsu (Atlanta, GA)

Alex Haupt (Amsterdam) and Ash Heeger (Cape Town, South Africa)

Shane Osborn (Hong Kong) and Mark Best (Australia)

Monique Fiso (Wellington, NZ) and Amninder Sandhu (Mumbai, India)

James Knappett (London, UK) and Angel Vazquez (Puebla, MX)

Jessica Lorigio (San Sebastian) and Johnny Spero (Washington DC, USA)

Collin Brown (England) and Colibri Jimenez (Mexico City, MX)

Esdras Ochoa (Hong Kong) and Rafa Gil (Hong Kong)

Charles Michel (Colombia & France) and Rodrigo Pacheco (Ecuador)

Manuel Berganza (Singapore) and Benjamin Bensoussan (Madrid, Spain)

In the final episode, the remaining chefs will battle it out to win a spot at the Final Table along with culinary masters Enrique Olvera (Mexico), Andoni Aduriz (Spain), Clare Smyth (UK), Helena Rizzo (Brazil), Vineet Bhatia (India), Grant Achatz (US), Carlo Cracco (Italy), Yoshihiro Narisawa (Japan), and Anne-Sophie Pic (France).

The Final Table will hit Netflix on November 20.
