Netflix host visits SLO’s Madonna Inn, shows off ‘bikini lewks’ at local beach

As the co-host of Netflix’s bake-off competition “Nailed It!,” Nicole Byer exudes endless energy and boundless enthusiasm.

Both attributes were evident when the actor, writer and comedian took a recent trip to the Central Coast that included stops at a local beach and San Luis Obispo’s famed Madonna Inn.

On Saturday, Byer shared photos and video of herself sunbathing at Avila Beach in a purple bikini via Instagram, inviting users to check out “more bikini lewks” in her new book “#VERYFAT #VERYBRAVE.”

“Pismo Beach really recovered from that disaster,” she joked in the caption, referring to classic 1990s comedy “Clueless.”

Byer hit the beach with former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Sasheer Zamata, who shared a picture of her own outfit on Instagram: sunglasses, a hat, a bikini top, pants and a wrap. “She gets cold at the beach,” Zamata’s explanatory caption read.

As chronicled in Byer’s Instagram story on Saturday, the two friends also stopped by the SLO Skate Park in San Luis Obispo before heading to the Madonna Inn.

“I didn’t know (the Madonna Inn) was so close to where we were staying. I truly look insane (because) I could not contain my excitement,” Byer wrote in one photo caption. “I’m sweating from roller skating. Insane from happiness.”

On Sunday, Byer shared more Instagram photos and video of herself at the popular San Luis Obispo hotel — posing with a fiberglass cow, sunbathing in a “secret garden” and doing cartwheels across a manicured lawn.

She also posed for a photo in the inn’s pink women’s restroom. “I SCREAMED WHEN I ENTERED THE BATHROOM I LOVED IT SO F---ING MUCH I LOVE,” Byer enthused in the all-capital-letters caption.

“I cannot wait until corona is over so I can stay and truly enjoy it,” Byer wrote in another Instagram caption.

Byer and Zamata, who co-host the podcast “Best Friends! With Sasheer Zamata,” aren’t the only celebrities to visit the Central Coast this year — although local sightings slacked off with the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Twilight” star Taylor Lautner stopped by a Paso Robles speakeasy in January, and “Avengers” actor Josh Brolin visited a Pismo Beach bowling alley later than month.
