Netflix now available in Filipino all over the world
Netflix now offers a user interface in Filipino that allows subscribers to watch its available content with Filipino subtitles and dubbing.
As of Oct. 21, subscribers all over the world can now access the streaming platform and watch shows and movies in the Filipino language. Its interface, including sign-up instructions, payment options and searching functions can also be accessed in Filipino.
Netflix previously made Filipino movies and shows available with English subtitles. The new feature comes as part of the production company’s plans to extend accessibility to international viewers by making the platform available in their respective languages.
“At Netflix, we believe our members should be able to choose their viewing experience, whether it be the genre, format, or language of the content,” Malobika Banerji, Netflix content director for Southeast Asia, said in a statement. “We are very happy that our Filipino members will now have the option to enjoy their favorite Netflix content from all over the world with Filipino subtitles and dubbing, should they prefer to watch as such.”

The new feature now allows Filipinos to watch Netflix originals like “Stranger Things,” “The Queen’s Gambit,” “Emily in Paris” and “You” in Filipino. New releases, including the film “The School for Good and Evil” and the series “The Watcher,” currently offer Filipino dubbing and subtitles.
Subscribers can access the feature across all devices by opening their account’s “Manage Profiles” section, clicking on their profile and setting their preferred language to “Filipino.”
