Netflix released the official trailer for its upcoming film “Happiness for Beginners” on Thursday.

What it’s about: The film, which is based on Katherine Center's 2015 novel of the same name, follows Helen (played by Ellie Kemper), a teacher feeling lost in life.

“Newly divorced, she joins a quirky group of strangers on a survival course for the ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ with the hope of learning how to live — and love — again,” the film’s synopsis states.

“I thought it was such a well-told story of one woman’s experience in getting to know herself better,” Kemper told Tudum about the film. “I was immediately excited about the prospect of playing a woman whose outlook on life, when we first meet her, isn’t so sunny.”

They were improvisational and trusting with one another and me, which added so much chemistry onscreen.”
