Netflix has recently announced that it will renew its widely acclaimed comedy series “Mo” for a second and final season.

The show, which premiered in August 2022, follows protagonist Mo Najjar as he navigates the challenges of being a Palestinian refugee living on the brink of obtaining asylum in the United States.

Alongside his family, including his mother and brother, Mo must adapt to his new surroundings in Houston while also dealing with the bureaucratic obstacles standing in his way. The second season will reportedly provide a conclusion to his journey for asylum.

“I’m thankful to continue to tell a universal story of struggle that relates to so many refugees and millions of underrepresented humans trying to be seen around the globe,” Mo Amer, the show's co-creator and leading actor, told Netflix in a recent statement.
