If you're after a thrilling film to add to your 'must-watch' list right now, look no further than Lou on Netflix, which fans are all comparing to Liam Neeson's Taken.
After dropping on the streaming service last week, Lou quickly became the most-watched film in the UK, shooting into Netflix's Top 10. It's tense, full of twists and turns and will distract you from your phone for a whole one hour 47 minutes.
As the official synopsis reads, "A mysterious loner living a quiet life with her dog battles the elements and her own dark past when a neighbour's little girl is kidnapped during a storm."
The film stars Allison Janney as Lou and Jurnee Smollett as Hannah, whose daughter is stolen, and fans are all taking to social media to compare the movie to Taken.
In Taken, Liam Neeson plays a retired CIA agent, who travels across Europe when his daughter is kidnapped while on a trip to Paris. That *does* sound similar.
"Done watching #Lou on Netflix. It’s like watching Taken but with less people in it. Good choice for a Friday night movie," one fan wrote, while another put, "Lou is like Taken on Lifetime #Netflix"
Others added, "Highly recommend #Lou on @netflix it's Allison Janney's Taken or John Wick" and "Equal parts TAKEN, MISSING, and RAMBO with a sprinkle of Tom Clancy, it's a great vehicle for Allison Janney and Jurnee Smollett."
