Netflix's Kate could be the assassin thriller to watch while you wait for Killing Eve season 3
Killing Eve's Villanelle would most definitely approve of Netflix's new assassin Kate, who embarks on a bloodthirsty rampage against her enemies in the upcoming thriller.
Fargo's Mary Elizabeth Wanstead takes the lead of Kate in, erm, Kate. She's a ruthless criminal operative who has less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies after being irreversibly poisoned.
While on her merciless mission, she forms an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims.
This sounds a little similar to BBC One's cat-and-mouse thriller Killing Eve, which follows MI5 agent Eve Pollastri as she hunts down Russian assassin Villanelle as both women become increasingly obsessed with and intoxicated by each another.
Kate can satisfy our appetite for badass female contract killers while we await season 3 of Killing Eve.
Meanwhile, Woody Harrelson's casting in Kate has just been announced - although little is known about his character just yet. The Huntsman: Winter's War Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will direct.
Mary most recently starred as Nikki Swango alongside Ewan McGregor in season 3 of FX's anthology series Fargo. Her next movie will be Ang Lee's Gemini Man with Will Smith, which is also about a hitman - one who faces off against a younger clone of himself. She also stars in Birds of Prey as Huntress opposite Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.
There's no trailer or other cast announcements for Kate yet, but we'll keep you posted.
