The Brooklyn Nets (13-11, tied with the Indiana Pacers for fifth place in the Eastern Conference) host the Boston Celtics (18-5, first) on Sunday for a chance extend their winning streak to five games. The Nets are coming off a 114-105 win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday that was made closer than it should’ve been.
This will be a battle of two potential MVP candidates as Kevin Durant is averaging 29.8 points per game (sixth in the NBA) for the Nets while Jayson Tatum is averaging 30.8 points per game (fourth) for the Celtics. This will also be a rematch of the first-round series between the two teams last season that ended in the Celtics sweeping the Nets in embarrassing fashion.
