Nets vs. Pistons game preview: How to watch, TV channel, start time
The Brooklyn Nets (29-18, fourth in the Eastern Conference) welcome the Detroit Pistons (12-37, 15th in the Eastern Conference) to the Barclays Center to face off for the second time this season. Brooklyn currently leads the regular-season series 1-0.
In the first game, a Nets 124-121 win on Dec. 18, Kevin Durant (currently out with a sprained right MCL) and Kyrie Irving combined for 81 points in the winning effort. This was Brooklyn’s sixth win in a row and the seventh straight time that they’ve beaten the Pistons. Bojan Bogdanovic led Detroit with 26 points.
Brooklyn has not had much success lately since Kevin Durant has been out of the lineup. In the past seven games that Durant has missed, the Nets are 2-5. The Nets most recent loss was Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers in which Brooklyn battled until the end. The game resembled that of a playoff game because of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid facing each other for the first time since Simmons was traded to the Nets for James Harden.
