  • Julia Roberts has revealed that she's never seen an episode of Game of Thrones.

  • "Too scary. Maybe too much sex," Roberts told Patricia Arquette during a conversation for Variety.

  • Asked who would win the Iron Throne at the end of the show, Roberts joked that she was betting on Barack Obama.

While we know that not every single person on the planet watches Game of Thrones, it has definitely felt that way over the past six weeks, as the HBO fantasy juggernaut aired its final season. And in the wake of Sunday night's divisive series finale, you can't take a breath on the internet without hitting a Game of Thrones take. But there are a lot of people out there who aren't into Westeros, and if you're one of them, it turns out you're in good company.

Julia Roberts recently sat down with Patricia Arquette for a conversation as part of Variety's Actors on Actors series, and was asked about her predictions for the end of the show.

“One of the questions that people have for you was who’s going to sit on the throne at the end of Game of Thrones?” Arquette asked. “Do you watch Game of Thrones?” In response, Roberts gave an answer so perfect that it arguably puts the actual finale to shame: “I’m going to say Barack Obama for $500." If only!

Expanding further, Roberts admitted, “I’ve never watched Game of Thrones,” but added that she'd recently been given an unusual compliment by someone who does.

"Someone just told me a couple days ago, ‘You look like one of the wildings... My hair is super curly, I was at the beach, and so my hair was telling its own stories.” In GoT, the wildings or Free Folk are a society of people who don't recognize political authority or monarchy, and whose free-spiritedness is evident in their curly, unkempt hair.

As for why Roberts hasn't tuned in? “Too scary. Maybe too much sex,” she explained. After Arquette confirmed that the show does feature a lot of sex, not to mention zombies, Roberts added, “Then it’s for sure not for me." And honestly, fair enough.
