NEWARK – Newark High School Drama will perform its fall production, Agatha Christie's "A Murder is Announced," this Friday and Saturday in the NHS Auditorium.

The show will be at 7 p.m. Friday and 2:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets at the door are $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.

In the play, a local newspaper runs the following notice: "A murder is announced and will take place on Friday, October 13, at Little Paddocks, at 6:30 p.m." What follows is an ingenious murder mystery maze that will leave the audience guessing "whodunit?" until the final scene, a news release said.

Emma Rowlee leads the cast as Christie's favorite female detective, Miss Marple. Other major roles include Jakob Coleman as Inspector Craddock and Sophia Hurd as Miss Blacklock.

The ensemble cast looks forward to performing this fun piece of classic detective fiction for their friends, family and teachers.
