- Young girl shot earlier this year in Newark now has turned 3. Newark police helped celebrate the girl's birthday with balloons, a card, and gifts. The girl was only 2 when gunfire erupted in January on Cabinet Street. Two adults were also shot. They survived. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

SHIRLEEN ALLICOT: After two years of negotiations, the Mohegan Tribal Nation reached a deal with the state of Connecticut for sports and online betting. The agreement is expected to generate millions of dollars in revenue for the state. It includes a 20% tax rate on new, online gaming offerings and a 13.75% tax rate on sports wagering. The Connecticut Lottery Corp. will also operate a new sports betting operation in Bridgeport.
